A: Please, tell us a bit more about yourself. What brought you to art?

K: I come from Uherské Hradiště, where I studied at the Secondary School of Applied Art. My time there led me to pursuing art at the Academy.

A: What inspires you the most?

K: The everyday. Each new day brings something that inspires me. I am inspired by nature as the seasons change and the sky as the day ends.

A: Do you have any specific rituals while working (creating)?

K: I like the commute to my studio. I take the tram or train and use that time to think and look forward to working at the studio. There, I make coffee and listen to music.

A: What would you recommend to someone new to art (an artist or just anadmirer), what to begin with?

K: The most important thing is to enjoy yourself, then everything comes to you naturally. Don't give up and don't worry too much about what others think.

A: Your top 3 phrases or phrases related to art?

K: That's so beautiful! How did you do this? Unbelievable...

A: Your favorite Czech artists?

K: I've liked Adriena Šimotová ever since I was a child. I enjoy her lightness and play with the material. Her pieces are so personal, melancholic, and real. I like her writing, too. Sometimes I copy them and let them inspire me.

A: What piece of art do you think embodies the Czech national spirit and culture? Why?

A: The perfect way to start any conversation about art is: ..?

K: "Have you seen this? Did you like it?"

A: Where can we meet you?

K: In my studio in Prague-Libeň, or in Stromovka where I've been coming lately with my son.

A: Please, share your favorite quote or idea (not necessarily related to art):

K: ”Everything you can imagine is real.” - Pablo Picasso

Thank you.
