Marck's works of art are curiously as much video art as they are sculpture or installation. With the video art being the main content, the appliances and objects used to contain it are a part of the artworks without which the artwork wouldn't be whole

A: What inspires you the most?


M: The people! Their stories, the situations they are in. The man is fascinating!



A: Do you have certain rituals when working (creating)?


M: When i have an idea, i drink a coffee first and think about the steps to start with.



A: What would you recommend to someone who is new to art (whether an artist or just an admirer)? What to start with?


M: He/she should go to exhibitions, art events, museums and talk about art with the people present. Not with the curators and art historians but with the "normal" people who are not top-heavy. For me art is feeling and not knowing.



A: What are your top 3 adjectives when it comes to art?


M: Amazed, amazed, thoughtful.





A: The best angle to view art is from ...?


M: A little sideways.



A: The perfect phrase to start a conversation about art is: ...?


M: "What do you feel when you look at this?"

M: It should be less about the money and more about the art and its content .
